Mr. Rudiantara S.Stat. MBA. is currently the Minister of Communications and Information Technology under the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, Republic of Indonesia.
He was inaugurated in October 2014 as part of President Joko Widodo’s new cabinet in the Republic of Indonesia
Rudiantara’s career began at the age of 25 when he joined Indosat and in a matter of a few years he became General Manager of Business Development at Indosat.
After 10 years at Indosat, he moved to Telkomsel where he succeeded as a director. Besides Telkomsel, he also handled XL effectively. In addition to his career in telecommunications, Rudiantara was also asked to improve other state-owned enterprises. He had worked as CEO of Bukitasam Transpacific Railways, CEO of Transpacific Railways Infrastructure, Deputy Director of Semen Gresik, and Deputy President Director of PT PLN (Persero).
Rudiantara’s was a senior figure in the telecommunications field and was fairly successful in handling the telecommunications industry problems.
After a 28-year career in telecommunications, he left his last position as Commissioner at PT Indosat after President Joko Widodo asked him to become Minister of Communication and Information in the 2014-2019 Working Cabinet.
