Before joining Esri, Charles was the Knowledge and Technology Lead for the World Bank’s PNPM Mandiri Support Facility in Indonesia.
His focus was on Social Accountability and Open Data in the country, extending these resources to empower local village communities to participate in the planning process and project implementation, with the overall goal of accelerating poverty reduction.
Charles was also part of a core team which designed and launched the Mapping for Results platform that enhanced the World Bank’s ability to monitor and evaluate projects. His previous experience has seen him in organisations like the United Nations, NASA, and CARICOM, as well as in countries in Central America, Africa, and Asia.
