The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on how we live, work, and play.

It’s also spurred organisations to use technology to create innovative approaches towards helping communities be more resilient in the face of the pandemic and other real-world challenges.

In support of their efforts, Esri Indonesia has launched the first Geo-Innovation Challenge – a competition to explore and promote the ground-breaking geospatial solutions that will help key local industries adapt and embrace “the new normal”.

Submission categories

What you need to prepare

  • Both the Geo-Innovation Award and Spatial Forward Thinkers categories require a report/paper describing your project/prototype

  • A map poster is also required to be submitted for the Geo-Innovation Award category

  • Your report/paper submission must address the following areas:
    1. Title
    2. Introduction
    3. Project goals
    4. Esri solution implemented to achieve project goals and overcome challenges
    5. Results achieved, outcomes and benefits gained from attaining the project goals

Please ensure that your submission adheres to the following guidelines:

Document format MS Word or Esri Storymap (submissions using Esri Storymap are not compulsory but may receive bonus points)
Images Minimum of three highly relevant high-resolution images
Image size and specs 300 dpi
Language English or Bahasa Indonesia

Software used in study Organisers will accept submissions based on projects using Esri software solutions
Map poster* A high-resolution digital map image file map with a map title/short project description added
